Weeping Tile –Weeping tile is a porous polyurethane pipe, available in 4” and 6” dimensions, used for sub-drainage applications around foundation. Weeping tile can also come with a sock around the pipe for use in sandy locations. Foundations need weeping tiles to take groundwater away from the foundation and relieve hydrostatic pressure outside of the foundation walls.
Stone Slinger™ (Gravel) –Stone Slingers are relatively new to the construction industry and have greatly increased the precision and speed of job performance. Workers are no longer needing to use wheelbarrows for delivery, which in the past was time-consuming and left unwanted piles of gravel in alleys and driveways. With Stone Slingers, gravel can be placed and levelled in a short time. With a conveyor belt system, gravel is placed more precisely and from a distance.
Stone Slingers can be used for many applications including:
Damp Proofing –Damp proofing is the minimum standard under the Alberta Building Code and is the most widely used product in the industry. Damp proofing with proper drainage, in a dry climate, is usually quite adequate. However, where there is a high water table, waterproofing is personally recommended over damp proofing.
There is often a question regarding the difference between damp proofing and waterproofing. Damp proofing provides a barrier against moisture vapour onto foundation. Waterproofing provides a barrier against not only moisture vapour but also liquid water on foundation.
Watchdog Waterproofing™ –Watchdog Waterproofing is a tough, flexible membrane that is spray-applied to foundation. Since the membrane is sprayed, it has no seams to let moisture seep through. The flexible membrane bridges small cracks that occur naturally in a foundation.
Installation of Window Wells–Window wells keep soil away from windows at or below ground level, to prevent water from flowing back into the window.
Styrofoam™ Installation –Rigid styrofoam insulation can be installed on outside foundation walls to build up R-factors and protect the walls.
Basement Crack Repairs –Cracks appear in foundations of all ages. Water pools near the crack, leaking through the wall down into your basement, usually leaving a stain on the foundation wall. In these cases, RAFA Enterprises Ltd can repair the crack from the outside wall by digging to the footings and sealing the crack with Watchdog membrane.
